We are a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting chess. As a not-for-profit organization, our primary goal at the Belize Chess Federation is to promote chess and make it accessible to all Belizeans. We believe that chess can serve as a powerful tool for connecting people from all corners of the country, regardless of their backgrounds or circumstances.
"For the Benefit of All People"
Our motto "For the Benefit of All People" was originally championed by the Belize Chess Federations' Founding Father, the late great Ricardo Aguilar in 1987.
Our motto is the guiding principle for the Belize Chess Federation. It shows that the Federation's mission goes beyond promoting the game of chess, but also to use it as a tool for positive social changes in Belize.
Ultimately, by upholding the motto "For The Benefit Of All People," the Belize Chess Federation hopes to honor the original mission of our founding father and contribute to the overall development of Belizean society through chess.
